What To Expect
The Evaluation
At your first session, we perform a full exam to identify the painful tissue. From there, we utilize manual therapy to reduce your pain levels. After the required manual therapy is performed, we teach you an exercise program designed to keep the pain at bay.
At the end of your session, we discuss plan of care options. Your physical therapist will make a recommendation on the best plan for you.
Session Duration
Each session is 60 minutes. We believe that giving you a full hour of 1-on-1 care is necessary to get the outcome you want.
Parking
We have a spacious parking lot. Please park wherever you like. All parking is free.
What paperwork is required?
When you are scheduled for your evaluation, we electronically send your intake paperwork to you via the free PT Everywhere app. This usually takes ~10 minutes to complete.
What Do I Wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move in.
Your Plan of Care
A plan of care usually follows a roadmap:
Visits 1-3: Primarily focused on reducing pain/inflammation and restoring tissue mobility. Manual therapy is a primary focus as well as progression of your home exercise program.
Visit 4-6: Now that pain is under control, we delve further into identifying the root cause of the issue. In summary: what caused this in the first place? Maybe it was a stiff hip that altered your gait and led to sciatica. Or an ankle issue that caused knee pain when running. Once identified, we shift our focus to correcting the root cause and restoring healthy biomechanics.
Visits 7-10: Now comes the fun part! We turn our attention to the performance aspect of your care. This is where we focus on improving your max deadlift, increasing your running milage, or increasing the speed of your golf swing. We want to see improving performance over time-at higher levels than you were at pre injury!
After Your Plan of Care
You can opt for a continuance program-usually at a visit frequency of 1-2 sessions per month. It's beneficial to have a standing appointment to further improve sport performance as well as screen for injury inducing mechanics. We love being able to fix an issue before someone says "ouch."
